Once you have setup your account and you have been onboarded by one of the team, you will be able to start receiving learner enquiries through to your app.

When a learner job comes through in your area, you will be notified by the app via a push notification. To view the job, open your app and select the ‘learners’ tab.

Rated Driving New learner jobs

You will be able to open the learner job and see the following information:

  • Learners name
  • Address
  • Previous experience
  • Availability
  • If the learner has passed their theory test
  • If the learner has book their practical test
    • If the learner has booked their practical test, the learner will provide the test centre including the date and time of the test.
  • Notes: if the learner has any specific requirements that you need to be made aware of.

Once you have reviewed the enquiry, you can either accept or reject the enquiry. It’s important that you only accept learner enquiries if you know that you can cater to their requirements as we want to ensure that all our learners have a great experience with us.

‘Only accept the jobs that you know that you can cater to. You will not be penalised for rejecting learner jobs as we understand that instructors have busy diaries.’

Once you have accepted the learner job, you and the learner will then ‘connect’. Once you connect with the learner, you will then be able to instantly message them through the app and also call them through the in-app phone.

Rated Driving Accepting a learner job

‘Once you have connected with the learner, please ensure that you introduce yourself as quickly as possible and get an idea of their availability and requirements with the view of getting them booked in for their driving lessons.’

If you have any questions or would like any help, please contact us on the live chat or call us on 0330 0439896.

Once you have agreed with the learner a date and time for the driving lesson, it is important that the learner pays upfront for their driving lessons. There are two reasons why:

  1. When the learner pays upfront for their driving lessons, the likelihood of them cancelling their lesson drops by over 90%.
  2. You and the learner are covered by our T&C’s. You get paid upfront for the lesson and both you and the learner are covered by our cancellation policy.

If the learner doesn’t show up for the lesson as planned, it is at the discretion of the driving instructor if they carry the lesson over to an alternative date and time or keep the payment as they turned up at the date and time agreed.

‘To ensure that both the learner and the instructor remain organised, all lessons that have been agreed should be recorded in the chat of the app and scheduled in the in-app scheduler.’

If you have any questions or would like any help, please contact us on the live chat or call us on 0330 0439896.

For the learners entire journey, from their first lesson to passing their driving test, all payments must be made through the Rated Driving app. We have a strict non-circumvention policy around payments and that includes no cash payments to be accepted by instructors.

There maybe circumstances that are outside of the instructors control, but if that is the case, please speak to Kevin Tuffney (07730885478 / kevin@rateddriving.com) at Rated Driving and agree a plan before accepting any cash payments.

Disputes happen from time to time and dealing with them swiftly and in a professional manner is important to maintaining integrity and a resolution. Driving instructors need to follow our Dispute Resolution Policy to resolve disputes.
