What our Lydd learners say

Patient Instructor, Proud Mum!

Found Rated Driving through a friend's recommendation and so glad we did. Our instructor was incredibly patient with my daughter, even when she was nervous about roundabouts and the tricky roads around Lydd. The flexibility with pick-ups from sixth form made everything so much easier to manage. She passed first time at the local test centre yesterday and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend to other parents!

Knew Every Route by Test Day

My instructor took me round the actual test routes from Lydd test centre for weeks before my test. We covered all the usual areas including the Dymchurch Road and tricky bits through New Romney multiple times. By the time test day came, everything felt familiar rather than nerve-wracking. I knew what to expect at each junction and roundabout. Passed first time with only three minors. Being methodical with route practice really works.

Failed First Time But Got There

I failed my first test at the local centre because my observations were terrible, especially at roundabouts. I was gutted but my instructor at Rated Driving didn't let me dwell on it. We spent the next few weeks really drilling junction work and checking blindspots properly. He made me talk through what I was checking which sounds simple but it massively helped. Second time round I passed with only three minors. Really glad I stuck with it.
