The test slot is the bottleneck, not the lessons
DVSA’s own June 2026 figures: the typical wait between booking a test and sitting it is 10.7 weeks, and it takes 20.9 weeks before 10% of appointments are still bookable. Just 11.9% of slots inside the 24-week booking window are still free, against 46.8% in February 2020. The National Audit Office does not expect DVSA to reach its seven-week target until November 2027. Waits vary a lot by centre. The sooner you are test-ready, the more slots you can take. DVSA figures.
Half of all car tests taken in Britain are retakes (50.7%, DVSA 2025-26) and the first-time pass rate is 50.52%. The Government’s own research puts a new driver at 37-52 hours with an instructor plus 13-20 hours of private practice. Buying too few hours usually means a fail, then another wait for a slot. Government guidance.
Your £250 is not a gamble
The £250 secures your course. The balance is only due once you have been matched with a DVSA-licensed instructor and your dates are confirmed, so you are never paying in full for something we have not delivered. If we have not matched you within 14 days, we refund the full £250, no questions asked. You are never locked in before you know who is teaching you.
Klarna
Save £50 when you pay in full, and Klarna is available
Every course has a Pay in full button above that takes you straight to checkout for the whole course price, with no balance to chase later. Klarna appears there so you can spread the cost. Klarna is not offered on the £250 deposit on its own, and is not available over £2,500.
Your driving test
What we can and cannot do about your test
Since 12 May 2026 it has been against the law for anyone except you to book, change or cancel your driving test. That includes driving schools, agencies and your own instructor. If a provider offers to book or fast-track a test for you, they are breaking that rule. We will not, because we cannot. DVSA, 12 May 2026.
What we do instead
  • We get you test-ready fast. An intensive course compresses months of weekly lessons into days, so you are ready for the slot you can get rather than waiting to be ready.
  • We show you how to find an earlier slot yourself. Your instructor talks you through checking the official DVSA service for cancellations and which nearby centres are worth watching.
  • We point you to legitimate swap services. Swappy is a learner-to-learner swap noticeboard. You and the other learner make the swap yourselves by phone with DVSA, which is exactly why it stays within the rules. Free to try, from £4.99 a month. Swaps need at least 10 full working days before the earlier of the two tests and use one of your two permitted changes. DVSA swap rules.
  • We help you not waste a slot. Half of all tests taken are retakes. Your instructor tells you honestly when you are ready, so you are not burning a hard-won appointment.
Never give your DVSA login to anyone. Apps that book on your behalf using your details can get your online booking access suspended for 12 months. We will never ask you for it. DVSA guidance.

How it works
1
Secure your course
Pay the £250 above. You get an instant confirmation by email.
2
We hand-match you
A real person matches you to a top-rated local instructor, backed by our 14-day match-or-refund. Your balance is not due until this is done.
3
Get test-ready, and go
Your instructor helps you judge when you are genuinely ready, and shows you how to find the earliest test slot you can.
Before you pay
Can you book my driving test for me?
No, and neither can anyone else. Since 12 May 2026 it has been against the law for any third party to book, change or cancel a driving test on your behalf, including driving schools, agencies and instructors. What we do instead is help you get test-ready faster and show you how to find an earlier slot yourself. Any provider telling you they will book or fast-track your test is breaking that rule.
What if you cannot find me an instructor?
You get every penny back. If we have not matched you with an instructor within 14 days of your deposit, we refund the full £250, no questions asked. That is our 14-day match-or-refund promise.
When do I pay the balance?
Not today. Your £250 secures your place, and the balance is only due once you have been matched with your instructor and your dates are confirmed. We send you a secure payment link at that point.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The total shown on each card is the full course price. There is no booking fee and no admin fee. The only separate cost is the DVSA test fee itself, which is £62 on weekdays and £75 evenings, weekends and bank holidays, and you pay that directly to DVSA when you book your test.
How long am I likely to wait for a test?
It depends heavily on your area. DVSA’s June 2026 figures put the typical wait between booking a test and sitting it at 10.7 weeks nationally, while it takes 20.9 weeks before 10% of appointments are still bookable. Only 11.9% of slots inside the 24-week booking window are still free. Some centres are far worse than the national picture, so the sooner you are test-ready, the more options you have.
Which course should I choose?
The Government’s own research puts a new driver at 37-52 hours with an instructor plus 13-20 hours of private practice, which is why our 40-hour course is the honest choice if you have never driven. As a rough guide: 40 hours from scratch, 30 hours if you have driven a little, 20 hours if you have had regular lessons, and 10 hours if you are nearly test-ready. If you are unsure, call us on 0330 0439896 before you pay.
Can I pay for the whole course now and save?
Yes. Every card has a Pay in full button that takes you straight to checkout for the whole course price, and £50 comes off automatically when you get there. There is no code to type and no balance to pay later. Klarna is available on that route if you want to spread the cost, and the 14-day match-or-refund still applies either way.
Can I spread the cost with Klarna?
Yes, on the full course price. At checkout, use Add on the pay-in-full option so you are paying for the whole course rather than the deposit alone, and Klarna appears as a payment method alongside card. Klarna is not offered on the £250 deposit by itself, and it is not available above £2,500.
Can I change my dates once I have paid?
Yes. Get in touch and we will rearrange with your instructor, subject to their availability. The sooner you tell us, the more options you will have.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, one of the world’s largest payment providers. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We will also never ask you for your DVSA login details, and you should never give them to anyone.
